It’s been a year and a half since I posted the original Guy Stuff feature and almost a year since I followed that up with a Serious Product Improvement. Well, Melaleuca is doing it again! As I was queuing up my July order for next month after placing my June order, I noticed the Alloy line of men’s products is getting an overhaul complete with new product introductions.
I do not yet have any of these new products to showcase but it will be interesting to experience the new Shave Gel. It’s only been a year since I got to experience the previous reformulation shown above, and that was VERY noticeably better than the one before. It’s going to be a while before I can review this one because I am amply supplied to last a while and the only info on the Melaleuca web site right now is that the new Shave Gel will be available in July. I don’t expect to be ordering until at least August.
There is however one (four part) completely new product introduction I find particularly interesting that Melaleuca has never offered until now—a men’s facial care system. I’ve actually been using facial care since my late 20’s and have a friend to thank for that. I thought it seemed girly at the time but he convinced me I could take good care of my face and still retain full confidence in my manhood. He was right.
One fact of life is that aging cannot be truly reversed but it can be slowed down. My early action in my twenties reaps the benefits I now enjoy at 61. Only over the past year or so have I began to look closer to my age because the graying process has become increasingly noticeable. But I’m okay with that because I still feel great and took longer than most people for the gray to begin. I decided a long time ago that I would never resort to coloring but let that part of the aging process advance naturally.
The new Alloy men’s facial care system should get more men to do what I’ve been doing for well over 30 years. I am nowhere near as “weathered” as most men my age.
It’s been about two years or so since Melaleuca totally revamped the facial care I use now, and I still will be for quite a while yet due to being well supplied. The previous version that I still have a couple old bottles to show was a much more feminine design but I learned to live with that a long time ago. Even Melaleuca was guilty of assuming only women buy facial care and they designed their packaging accordingly. The revamped product shown is much more gender neutral but I am very glad they’ve finally created something explicitly for men.
